Description

A song about the "Iron Man" Wang Jinxi (王进喜), a model worker known for his work in the Chinese oil industry. He led efforts to develop the Daqing oil fields under challenging conditions, making it into the top producing oilfield in China. Wang served as vice head of the Daqing Drilling Headquarters and became vice director of the Daqing Revolutionary Committee in 1968. In 1969, he was appointed to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
