The ancient fire-being Magmaron, once sealed beneath the Dreaming Mountains, has awakened—twisted and vengeful. Rivers of lava scorch the land, enchanted forests turn to ash, and molten monsters consume everything in their path. Worse still, Magmaron is hypnotizing dream-creatures and forging new, destructive lifeforms to serve him.

Mia tries to fight back, but she’s not strong enough. Her powers, once wondrous, now feel fractured. Then, the elders of Readonia reveal a hidden truth: Mia is not the only dreamwalker.

To save her dreamworld friends and defeat Magmaron, Mia must find another dreamwalker in the real world. But that search could be dangerous—not all dreamwalkers visit the same realms, and no one knows what happens when two dreamwalkers meet.

After a painful breakup in the waking world—one that strengthens Magmaron and pushes Mia into darker nightmares—she decides to date every boy she knows, hoping to find someone like her.
What she doesn’t know is that her ex-boyfriend is also living in Readonia… and he’s been hypnotized by Magmaron. His anger toward her is growing—and it’s turning dangerous in both worlds.
