Both this and the flip side “Wasn’t It Beautiful While It Lasted?” ( https://youtu.be/8c9Oc3ZFS1o ) were written for the Broadway musical “Flying High” (355 performances), which starred Bert Lahr and Kate Smith. Lahr & Charlotte Greenwood filled those roles for MGM’s 1931 film version, though none of the play’s DeSylva-Brown-Henderson songs were used.
