This was the dominant recorded version of the biggest hit tune from Irving Berlin’s 1950 musical “Call Me Madam,” introduced on-stage by Ethel Merman and Russell Nype. The successful show ran 644 performances and earned Tony awards for Berlin (best original score), Merman (best actress in a musical) and Nype (best featured actor in a musical). Four other Como hits included in this 1951 collection are “Hello Young Lovers” “If” “Zing Zing--Zoom Zoom” and “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas.”
