If you’ve heard this popular holiday novelty over more recent years, it may well have been the commonly reissued 1982 re-recording. According to Elmo Shropshire, who was part of a double act with his then-wife Patsy Trigg, she did not take part in this track, though it was credited as a duet on the record. Writer Randy Brooks was nephew of actor-comedian Foster Brooks.
