Here’s how it sounded back at the beginning…sixteen years before Freddy’s career finally took off and his new 1975 version shot to #1 on the C&W charts & top-10 ‘pop’ (listen here: https://youtu.be/00tNJOSa1Ps ). Freddy--real name Baldemar Huerta--also recorded at least two Spanish-language versions of the song as “Dias y Noches Perdidas”…one in 1975 and another much earlier in his career (no recording date available).
