Merry Christmas everyone, long time no see!
Here I am again, this time with a Christmas carol🎄
Have you ever been in a church in a situation, where an organist is playing and the people are just singing along? It's something magical, it doesn't matter if you are religious or not, the only thing that matters is that warm welcoming sound, in which you feel connected to everyone and if you know the lyrics, it's even better!
The particular song is called "Adeste fideles", also known as "O come, all ye faithful". The earliest printed version of it was published by John Francis Wade, that lived in the 18th century and could be the actual composer of it, but it has also been attributed to other authors.
I don't play organ of course, but I wanted to try to imitate its sound on my digital piano and that's what came out!
After the organ version you have a piano version too, a loud one, with full chords. I tried to imagine, how Horowitz would play it, if it was something like a national anthem 🙂
