Aditya Hrudayam, is a devotional hymn associated with Aditya or the Sun God (Surya) and was recited by the sage Agastya to Rama on the battlefield before fighting the demon king Ravana. Agastya teaches Rama, who is fatigued after the long battle with various warriors of Lanka, the procedure of worshipping the Sun God for strength to defeat the enemy. These verses belong to Yuddha Kanda in the Ramayana as composed by Agastya and compiled by Valmiki.

आदित्य हृदयम, आदित्य या सूर्य देव (सूर्य) से जुड़ा एक भक्ति भजन है और इसे ऋषि अगस्त्य ने राक्षस राजा रावण से लड़ने से पहले युद्ध के मैदान में राम को सुनाया था। अगस्त्य ने लंका के विभिन्न योद्धाओं के साथ लंबी लड़ाई के बाद थके हुए राम को दुश्मन को हराने के लिए शक्ति के लिए सूर्य देव की पूजा करने की विधि सिखाई। ये छंद रामायण के युद्ध कांड से संबंधित हैं, जिसे अगस्त्य ने रचा और वाल्मीकि ने संकलित किया।
