Description
Lyrics
Verse: Patient, full of neverending passion
You've given me the time I need to come to you
Faithful, You have never failed me once
No one's ever touched this heart, the way You do
Pre-Chorus: You are willing, merciful
For the cross Your Son took was mine
You are sovereign, an eternal friend
The world, your love outshines
Chorus: The savior of love with arms spread wide
Is one with my soul, He won't leave me behind
Grace overwhelming, a heart so pure
In the wisdom of Christ, I'll always endure
As our world fades away, faith hope and love remain above
But the greatest thing of all
Is the Father's Agape Love
Bridge: The blood hymn
For this one I wanted to write something about God's love for us. Over the summer, my church was doing a series based on Agape love, which is, and I am currently taking a marriage/family class in college, the love that a father has for his son/daughter, and at the youth group I lead worship at, we've been meditating on the story of the prodigal son quite a bit. Both the series and story, overall complete what I believe God's love is, and while the lyrics are shorter compared to my other ones, I believe it tells a good description of who God is to us in terms of love, he won't leave us behind, and he gives us the time that we need to come running to his arms. But most of all, he thinks of us as his children, no matter what.
