Description
This video is far from perfect. But I love the song of the South African singer and dancer Johnny Clegg. His nickname in SA is "white Zulu". His music is a perfect match of African and European elements. His lyrics tell about the problems in the world like homeless people with no opportunities, HIV und poverty.
The story to my little video: 2 African youngsters in one of the big cities of the world (the scenes may look like NY. But it could be everywhere London, Berlin, Paris) see an advertising of a flight to Africa and suddenly the memory of their roots are back. As the dance ended, there is no African sun just a dark street in the big city.
Here are the 2 songs:
There's a highway of stars across the heavens
The whispering song of the wind in the grass
There's the rolling thunder across the savanna
A hope and a dream at the edge of the sky
And your life is a story like the wind
Your life is a story like the wind.
And we are scatterlings+ of Africa
Both you and I
We are on the road to Phelamang
