Angel of the Morning is a perfect song for beginners because the chords are so easy - G C D and Am.
The song was written in the 60s by Chip Taylor and is said to have been inspired by The Rolling Stones song - Ruby Tuesday.
Many, many people have recorded it. Juice Newton and The Pretenders are two good examples.
In fact I was inspired to do a lesson on the song after watching a re-run of Friends (the one with the baby on the bus) where Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders lead singer) makes an appearance and sings the song .
