Eliane Elias (São Paulo, March 19, 1960) is a Brazilian pianist, composer and singer.
He started playing the piano at the age of seven. Her mother, Lucy, was a classical pianist. In 1973, at the age of 13, he began his piano studies at the Free Music Learning Center (CLAM), with Amilton Godoy, pianist of the Zimbo Trio.
At seventeen he started to perform playing his own compositions. After a tour in 1981, with Eddie Gomez, she was encouraged to move to New York. There she was invited to join the band Steps Ahead, recording an album with them in 1983. After leaving the group, she worked with the American trumpeter Randy Brecker, with whom she was married and has a daughter, the singer and songwriter Amanda Brecker. She recorded numerous albums, including a duet with Herbie Hancock.
