Description
Dogs don't perceive in black and white, but they are "color-blind," which means they only have two color receptors (called cones) in their eyes, whereas most people have three.
When a dog's point of view is depicted in film or television, the picture is frequently trimmed to be in black, white, and grey—bright red flowers appear dull and gloomy, and freshly cut grass appears more manufactured than natural.
Humans must be colorblind if they have a deficiency in their colored vision, which is generally caused by a problem in the formation of cones within the eye.
Color blindness in humans occurs when one of the three human color receptors fails to operate properly, leaving some people with just two functional cones. This sort of color blindness is known as dichromacy (as opposed to the more prevalent human trichromacy) and is similar to a dog's color sense.
Each cone sees the light wavelengths that correspond to red, green, and blue-violet.
We can see a wide range of colors by overlapping and blending the spectrum of hues perceived by the three human cones
