Kumarji’s additions to the Kedar canon and phraseology add more flexibility and dimensions to Kedar, reducing the rigidity of its structure and opening new avenues, with the dual madhyams and the dual nishads. Baithi Hoon Akeli — explores these factors while emoting the feelings of a woman waiting for her beloved to return. A lot of these changes are very subtle but produce significant and beautiful effects on the raga.
