Description
Here is a re- recording of Béla Bartók's ever-popular Romanian Folk Dances (Román népi táncok), Sz. 56, composed in 1915. The previous recording, from december 2017, was not so bad but I don't like the sound of my old Gaveau anymore, especially when it was not optimally in tune. The version of this suite for violin and piano by Zoltán Székely seems even more popular these days, but I dislike the added violin pyrotechnics and schmalz, and much prefer the original piano version
