Basketball and golf have been my two favorite sports in my life. I still like to shoot baskets during my lunch break at the gym at Ferris Women's University. I think the gym was built around ten years ago and I've gone there a lot, so it's possible I've shot more baskets there than anyone!
"Basketball Jones" appeared on Cheech and Chong's 1973 album "Los Cochinos" and was a parody of the song, "Love Jones" by Brighter Side of Darkness. I didn't try Cheech's falsetto or try to narrate the story of Tyrone Shoelaces, opting to sing the simple song lyrics over and over, like a mantra. This song also was used in the original Space Jam.
