Reverse: 1999 is a turn-based RPG with visual novel elements set in a world beset by "The Storm" - a mysterious phenomenon that reverses time. The protagonist, known as the "Timekeeper" Vertin, is immune to the effects of said "Storm", which typically drives people to insanity before they wash away. In various eras prior to the turn of the 21st century, Vertin searches for answers while helping people and fending off Manus Vindictae - an organization devoted to inciting "The Storm".
