This cover of the Tomoyasu Hotei song heard in the movie Kill Bill was recorded in 2004. This is the third song to be released in the "Unreleased Archives" playlist.

This one was originally composed by Tomoyasu Hotei. When I saw the movie, I was puzzled by a special trick I never heard before in a song : Once in a while, there's a few nanoseconds of silence right before some percussive sounds (orchestral hits/stabs). I never heard this before (the silences) and then I wanted to try to do it myself.

I had lots of fun recording this song. Also, back then it was super rare that I used an electric guitar for a song and this one is one of the very rare from that era to feature electric guitar. I love playing guitar, but electric guitars are hard to play because they are tiny (my fingers always touch the wrong strings) and hypersensitive. But one day I want to adopt a Telecaster because I had the chance to play three times on one in my life and it was love at first sight. Everything sounded great on a telecaster. One day...

I plan to release old songs a bit at a time over the next year. I've got over 200 of those and will select a subset of those that are still significant for me, somehow.
