Description
Be Thou My Vision (listen, like, subscribe, thanks!)
We've sung this hymn for our whole lives, but never understood it, truly.
"Thou my best thought, by day or by night"
Our thoughts are mental creations subject to the conditioning of our experiences and ingrained neural pathways. Our thoughts even have a latency period between actual event occurrence and our mind's ability to process what just happened. That processing is dictated not by truth or reality, but by our mind's interpretation of truth and reality.
You are not viewing reality but your remembrance of it. Must I go on?
So, do you listen to, obey, and trust in your mind?
Or do you listen to, obey, and trust in God? How do you know God's will? Through stillness, and through His word.
Let this 7 minute video be your stillness for the day. See what happens when you step away from the chattering of your brain box.
Let God be your vision. Do not trust what your eyes see, or what your mind tells you, but what God says. God dwells within you: "Thou in me dwelling, and I with thee one."
