Description
The letters in St Benedict medal ‘CSSML” stand for CRUX SACRA SIT MI HI LUX, and NDSMD stands for Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux (in English – “May the Holy Cross be my Light, Let no the devil be my guide). And on the margin of the medal are the Latin words “Eius in obitu nostro praesentia muniamur” which means “May we be strengthened by His presence in the hour of our death”. The St Benedict Medal is the most powerful catholic medal. It is also known to ward off evil presence, hexes, and curses. I have been using the St. Benedict Medal. I have it hanging on top of my bed.
But always remember that our faith is what God wants to see in us. And that faith should reflect in our words, actions, and thoughts. The two primary commandments of God are to love God above all and love thy neighbour. These two commandments encompass all the other commandments of God. We are all created in God’s love, and that is how we should be towards each other.
The prayer of St Benedict Medal
in Latin:
Crux sancta sit mihi lux / Non draco sit mihi dux
Vade retro satana / Numquam suade mihi vana
Sunt mala quae libas / Ipse venena bibas
in English
Let the Holy Cross be my light / Let not the dragon be my guide
Step back Satan / Never tempt me with vain things
What you offer me is evil / You drink the poison yourself.”
You can say the prayer several times while listening to the prayer hymn in Gregorian, especially at times when you feel that someone has cursed you or mocked your faith.
