Black Sabbath were an English rock band from Birmingham (1968) formed by Tony Iommi, Bill Ward, Geezer Butler, and Ozzy Osbourne. They're considered pioneers of heavy metal, defining the genre with albums like "Black Sabbath" (1970), "Paranoid" (1970), and "Master of Reality" (1971).
After Osbourne's departure in 1979, the band went through numerous lineup changes, with Iommi as the only constant member. Vocalists included Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan, and Tony Martin. The original lineup reunited in 1997. Their final studio album "13" was released in 2013, and they played their farewell concert in Birmingham in 2017.
