Description
Let's take the angriest song of all time and make it sound like something from your nightmares.
This song is actually insane and stands out in a number of ways. It's arguably one of Ozzy's most exhilarating vocal performances ever, one of Bill's craziest drumming performances ever, some of Geezer's tightest bass work ever, and Tony's riff is just pure evil, it sounds crunchy, menacing and "mechanical" like his guitar is a huge machine crushing up your bones which is something that no guitar cover of this song ever gets right in my opinion. Imagine getting to listen to this for the first time in 1975, holy shit man.
And then there's the famous jazzy outro of course which sounds like Django Reinhardt because why the hell not. And then the next song after this is Megalomania. It's unreal how good this album is. Paranoid is cool and all but on that album the band were still finding themselves and it was by this point on Sabotage that they were no longer screwing around.
Also the lyrics! "The symptom of the universe is written in your eyes," that's Jim Morrison levels of amazing. This is a love song btw.
