Description
Brent Cobb spent some years in Nashville releasing solo records like 2016's Shine On Rainy Day (which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album) and penning hit songs for Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, and dozens of others.
Brent eventually returned to his Georgia home to reconnect with both his musical and spiritual roots. To record his latest album, Southern Star, Brent drew exclusively upon local musicians and also a local --albeit universally known-- Macon Georgia studio called Capricorn, which only three years ago reopened its doors following nearly three decades of vacancy.
He spins colorful and meaningful stories in his songs, and delivers them with the heart and soul of somebody whose feet are planted firmly in the complex and beautiful south, and all that we love about it.
Brent Cobb is joined on vocals and guitar by Matt McDaniel.
