In this episode, I visit Venado Tropicals in Cotabato, Philippines to see an extensive collection of bromeliads and their original hybrids. Sir Ziegfried Onari spent decades creating thousands of beautiful Bromeliad hybrids at this very this nursery, and left his wife and 6 children the ultimate legacy - a plethora of unregistered hybrids. The collection is now in the care of wife Bing Onari. Bing shares her experience living with a master breeder, working the family business, and slowly turning into a plant lover herself.

We see some of the bromeliads up close and personal, revering their beautiful details through the episode. Bing shares some bromeliad care tips, and some good reasons why we all need to try to grow them.

We end the tour to visit some interesting plants around the nursery, including aroids, selaginellas and medinillas.
