In the summer of 2024, while in Italy for a concert, Rabbi met Claudio Allifrancini, the legendary Italian saxophonist and arranger. They hit it off instantly and decided to see what they could come up with in a week. Claudio worked the phone, Rabbi dusted off the songs and his producer made frantic calls to the crew, venue, and God to make it all come together. This is the product of a week of their collective midnight oil burnt. Late-night practices, all-night diner dinners, espresso shots, hectic Indo-Italian parleys, and long drives all leading up to the oldest jazz club in Italy -- Biella Jazz Club. All for an afternoon of strangers communicating via a common language made long ago by brilliant outliers in the sweaty streets of Louisiana, a language called jazz.
