In 2001, when composer Yin Qing and songwriter Qu Yuan came to the Qinghai-Tibet Railway construction site to research and collect inspiration, they discovered that the railway workers and local people called the Qinghai-Tibet Railway "The Heavenly Road”. They composed this melody based on that idea.
