Description
Loosely adapted from the classic Orson Welles film, this tv series filmed one season in the USA, then after a few years gap filmed several more in Europe. It took from the film the theme by Anton Karas, master of the zither. I believe the kettledrum accompaniment is new to the tv version. The US opening and the opening for the filmed-in Europe episodes, plus closing credits.
