The FA Cup was supposed to be a nice distraction for Oxford United this afternoon, however it turned into a nightmare. It finished Coventry City 6-2 Oxford United. Please enjoy my review of this FA Cup Round 3 game

The gulf in class between Sky Bet League One and the Championship was in full evidence today. The Sky Blues wiped the floor with OUFC and it was a horrible day on and off the field the Oxford fans. James Beadle was not in the line up which everyone assumes that he has played his last game for Oxford United. Skipper Elliott Moore was ill and Stan Mills suffered a terrible injury which may be the last time we see him in an Oxford shirt. A bonkers start to the game saw it 3-1 to PUSB after 17 minutes. Joel Latibeaudiere made it 1-0, then Oxford made it 1-1 with Mark Harris 1 minute later, only for Coventry to make it 2-1 a minute after that with Ben Sheaf. A Beautiful 25 yard screamer from Kyle Palmer made it 3-1. It was 4-1 just after HT when O'Hare rolled in a penalty. Tyler Goodrham gave Oxford hope with 10 to spare, only for Matt Godden to come off the bench and make it embarrassing. Today felt like a huge smack in the face on and off the field for Oxford United and their fans.
