"Still A Little Country Left" is a song my producer Trent Willmon had written and played for me several years ago that we didn't end up cutting for the project we were working on at the time. Not long after that, one of my favorite singers and influences in country music Daryle Singletary recorded it to put on his last record before passing away. Since he never got the chance to release it as a single and I still think it's a great song that needs to see the light of day, we recorded a version that I absolutely love for my next record. With all of the doubt and negativity surrounding the current state of our country and all of the uncertainty leading up to this election, I feel like this is a perfect time to release a song that sheds light on the positive things that are still prevalent in rural America today. These are the kinds of people and places that I grew up around and this song recognizes a way of life that still provides hope and a sense of well-being for those who appreciate it.
