Description
This song was originally written in 1910 by English lawyer Frederic Weatherly, but with a different tune. In 1913 his sister-in-law, Jess, sent him the Irish tune "Londonderry Air". Weatherly liked the tune, so amended the lyrics slightly to fit the new melody.
