A terrific parody (propaganda) song from World War II from the Walt Disney film “Der Fuehrer’s Face”. Spike Jones’ version of the song came out in 1942 and caused Disney to rename the film originally titled “Donald Duck in Nutziland” to match the title of the very popular song before the film came out in 1943. The Donald Duck cartoon won an Academy Award for Best Short Subject cartoon that year.
In the cartoon Donald Duck is dreaming he is stuck in Nazi Germany during the war but finally wakes up to realize he is home in the USA and hugs the Statue of Liberty.
