"Echoes of War"
Song 17 — Season 1 of Somewhere
(Verse 1)
Carole called, a whispered name, Richard stepped into the flame. Pictures told of power and grace, In the natives’ eyes, a sacred place.
(Chorus)
War drums echo through the sky, Steel and fire marching by. Hearts are torn, the lines are drawn, Who will stand when night is gone?
(Verse 2)
Humans came with metal might, Crushing souls beneath their fight. Secret deals in shadowed halls, But resistance stood through it all.
(Chorus)
War drums echo through the sky, Steel and fire marching by. Hearts are torn, the lines are drawn, Who will stand when night is gone?
(Bridge)
Philippe fell, a hero’s cry, Emma swore she’d not stand by. In the flames, she found her way, Fighting on till break of day.
(Verse 3)
Richard stood on broken ground, Torn between the love he’d found. Emma’s fire, fierce and bright, Won the war, but lost the light.
(Outro)
Ashes fall, the battle’s done, Victory lost beneath the sun. Through the loss, through the pain, Her home still stands, not in vain
