The debut solo album from Tangerine Dream frontman Edgar Froese was originally released in two versions: one released in Germany on the Brain label, and one released in the UK and elsewhere on the Virgin imprint. These variations had different track ordering (the A and B sides were switched) in addition to significantly different mixes. While the "UK mix" has been re-released on CD many times and is available in good sound quality, the original German mix has never been reissued in the digital realm. I discovered this 1977 Brain reissue while thumbing through krautrock bins in Berlin, and after bringing it home, I just had to rip it so that this original German version could be put on YouTube for all to hear. The Tangerine Dream connection is obvious upon listening, and the album is a rather noteworthy entry in the "Berlin-school" style due to its pioneering use of binaural recording, with microphones inserted inside the ear canals of a dummy's head. So, enjoy this album with headphones for a great ambient/electronic experience...
