An idea of making Enya's 1991 song Caribbean Blue sound 'modern' 😅
I much prefer the original's timelessness, but maybe Enya listeners old and new might like the sound of it here..! I kept it Enya-ish with the clicks and interesting piano, haha. 🤌🎹 It is in the key of E♭ and 4/4 time (original is E major and 3/4). A bit of EQ adjustments and panning too 🎛️
This came from my experimenting with the Hookpad feature on the Hooktheory website, as I edited Caribbean Blue, initially to fit a reggae style. I was also wondering how it might sound in some sort of modern hip-hop style - here it is so far 😄🎵✨
