Sensing their deceit, Fenrir demanded a show of good faith. Tyr placed his hand in the wolf’s mouth — and lost it when the trap was sprung.

From that day on, Fenrir was chained, his rage and sorrow growing with each passing year. When Ragnarök comes, the bonds will break, and Fenrir will fulfill the prophecy — devouring Odin before falling to Odin’s son, Víðarr.
