Episode 141:
The third studio album from the Ohio Players, Fire, contained a #1 hit with it's title track. Released in 1974, the tune is a quintessential Funk song, including an all-time great bass line, catchy horns and gang vocals. Written and produced by the entire band, "Fire" has been used as a theme song for numerous TV shows and ad campaigns over the years, and was the musical inspiration for Wild Cherry's "Play That Funky Music".
