Description
A little throw back to the first time I saw Aurora. While visiting family in Oregon spring 2021, my phone alerted me of possible Aurora activity. So I grabbed my gear and set up my cameras to capture the action. Being from Utah, I don't have much experience with Aurora, so I was pretty thrilled when I saw it show up on the screen.
After my eyes adjusted, I could see the color faintly with my eyes. I needed to help the kids get ready for bed, so once I got the settings dialed in, I just set the timers and let the cameras do their thing. I generally batch edit for time-lapse images and don't look at each one, so I didn't even realize I had captured the vertical spikes moving across the sky until I watched the time-lapse for the first time.
