Witches, throughout the history of religion, were symbolized as the "Evil Other." But why? And here by Witches, I definitely not only mean women, but also Men. But mostly Women who lived outside societal norms & challenged the suppression by Religious Dogmatism in Medieval European Society.

Any deviation from this dogmatism was met with suspicion & hostility. And this Fear of witches was deliberately cultivated. Authorities, both religious & secular, capitalized on this fear to consolidate power. To suppress human individualism. And in many countries we still see such smart activities where mindless sheeps are produced.

Actually it becomes more f*cked up when you truly imagine the level of autocracy. Vilifying witches was a deception technique by the oppressors so that you always suffer from a human made anxiety like Witches, Other ones, but you'll fail to see internal problems, such as political corruption or social inequality.

So you become a person who searches for a Scapegoat. You fail to see human's individualism. You fail to hear their "music" Or their independent thought, spiritual beliefs, & nonconformity.

May be they didn't believe the way you see God. May be they didn't believe in a God who feeds on fear & appraisal.

This inability to hear the music—or to understand difference becomes Fear. And people fear what they do not understand because it disrupts their worldview.
