The Ford Fiesta is a line of subcompact cars that have been in production since 1976. Developed and available globally, the Fiesta has seen multiple generations and body designs over the past few decades.

The first generation of the Ford Fiesta (1976-1983) offered a hatchback body style, as well as a panel van and pickup truck versions. The second generation (1983-1989) brought with it new styles, including a four-door sedan and a five-door hatchback.

The third generation (1989-1995) saw revised exterior styling, while the fourth generation (1995-2002) saw a larger wheelbase and more fuel-efficient engines.

The fifth generation (2002-2008) saw the introduction of the Fiesta ST, a performance-minded variant. The sixth generation (2008-2017) debuted a new design, with a 1.6-liter engine also available in the sporty ST model.

The current seventh generation (2017-present) has a radically different look than previous models, with a 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine in the base model, and improved fuel economy. It also offers more technology features such as Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment system, and a larger 8-inch touchscreen display.
