Fred Astaire (May 10, 1899- June 22, 1987)- was an American dancer, singer actor, choreographer and television presenter. He is widely considered the most influential dancer in the history of film. His stage and subsequent film and television careers spanned a total of 76 years .
Cheek to Cheek is a song written by Irving Berlin in 1935 for the Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movie Top Hat. The song was nominated for the Best Song Oscar in 1936. It spent 5 weeks at no. 1 in Your Hit Parade and was named the no. 1 song of 1935.
