Description
this video was enjoyable to make. Both videos are different from the original video and song by The Boom. Besides both so being presented in a ballad style presentation, the songs are in Okinawan dialect.
Gackt's version is longer the Natsukawa Rimi's, as the presentation has several that lines that repeat. As Natsukawa Rimi's is shorter in length, with some lyrics not repeated. Gackt's version has a instrumental section late in the song and Natsukawa Rimi's instrumental section is early on. In each Instrumental I stopped the song of the other's to allow the instrumental to go on by its self.
Where Natsukawa Rimi's version was lacking the same lyric's or section of lyric's as Gackt's, I copied a section of Natsukawa Rimi's song and pasted it into an earlier place. At the end of the song Gackt's version, the
comes to an abrupt end, Natsukawa Rimi's does not . I stopped Gackt's version and let Natsukawa Rimi play the shamisen, with Gackts version make the final notes.
Now the hardest and the most time consuming (3 months) was syncing their voices together.
First through out Gackt's version, his voice becomes softer. Natsukawa Rimi's version, her voices is very loud and drowns out Gackt when the sing together. I lowered Natsukawa Rimi voice where appropriate. And raised Gackt's voice
over the later half of the song.
Second: Gackt singing was sang closer to a the beat of a metronome. Where Natsukawa Rimi sings a free style - stretching, or clipping a note to fit the emotion. so it took the time stretch a note by coping, pasting then shortening or stretching a very small portion of the note.
In the end was this combined presentation of a fantastic song.
