GAME OF THRONES returns on Monday 7 April at 2am and 9pm on Sky Atlantic HD and Sky Atlantic +1 - available exclusively to Sky TV customers and contract free on NOW TV with the NOW TV Entertainment Month Pass.
Based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling book series A Song of Ice and Fire, the Golden Globe® and Emmy®-winning drama chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent kingdom. Created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, GAME OF THRONES proved a huge hit with audiences when it launched back in April 2011, and has since garnered much critical acclaim and a raft of awards recognition, including the BAFTA® TV Audience Award, ten Primetime Emmys®, a Golden Globe® and two Screen Actors Guild awards.
Many of the cast will return including Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Kit Harington, Aidan Gillen, Iain Glen, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Jack Gleeson, Alfie Allen, Natalie Dormer, Gwendoline Christie and Charles Dance.
A wealth of new talent will also join the cast, including Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell), Indira Varma (Ellaria Sand, Oberyn's paramour), Roger Ashton-Griffiths (Lord Mace Tyrell), Michiel Huisman (Daario Naharis, a mercenary ally to Daenerys), Yuri Kolokolnikov (Styr, a wildlings chief) and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Ser Gregor Clegane, a.k.a. 'The Mountain').
The season premiere, entitled Two Swords, is written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss and directed by D. B. Weiss. Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead), Alex Graves (The Newsroom, Fringe) and Neil Marshall (Season 2's Battle of Blackwater episode) are among the other directors for the fourth season. George RR Martin will also return to write an episode.
