Singing Cowboy Gene Autry performs his signature song "Back in the Saddle Again" from his Republic Pictures film "Back in the Saddle" (1941).

A little history on the song: Gene Autry co-wrote "Back in the Saddle Again" with Ray Whitely and he first recorded it for Columbia Records in 1939, again in 1946, and a third time in 1952. It was the primary theme song for his "Melody Ranch" radio show (1939 – 1956). Gene sang "Back in the Saddle Again" in four movies: "Rovin' Tumbleweeds" (1939), "Back in the Saddle" (1941), "Home in Wyomin' " (1942), and "Wagon Team" (1952). It was also the theme song of his television series "The Gene Autry Show" (1950 – 1956) and he performed "Back in the Saddle Again" in seven episodes.
