This week, I am doing a live performance of "Sailor Song" by Gigi Perez. This song came out last summer and has been on the Billboards since August of 2024. Something I've noticed about myself since doing music professionally is that my ability to listen to music in my downtime has become harder. In a strange way, even though I'm being my most authentic self by sharing my artistry with everyone, I've also lost a big part of myself: The part that is a music lover before all else, through and through.

So it came as a surprise when I found "Sailor Song" and wanted to listen to it on repeat in my downtime. Could I have covered this months ago? Technically, yes, but I didn't want to give away the part of myself that I had finally found again in listening to this song. As you can see, I eventually covered it. It's hard not to listen to this song and want to share your version with the world. So, I hope you enjoy my cover song of "Sailor Song" by Gigi Perez!
