Dear friends,

With great pleasure I share with you another study from Sérgio Assad’s masterpiece 24 studies for guitar written for me.

Gnattaliana is one one of my favorite studies and displays Sérgio’s unique command of the polyphonic writing for the guitar over an exciting groove that can be felt throughout the entire piece. I am so amazed by Sergio’s ability to portray some of Radamés Gnattali’s trademark musical elements such as the hybrid meters, using that as a frame for his very original style.

My “journey” with the 24 studies started in July, and as I get to learn more of these incredible pieces I will continue to share with you my work in progress!
