It has a connotation of "shoulders strong enough to carry the burden". You see it in business where your employer gives you a seemingly impossible task, so you complain. Then your boss says "you're capable enough to do it". Which is why Miku reacted like that to "Kobato katahaba". Mincho was saying that Miku didn't need help talking to the unruly mob. Later, Miku boasts "my one shoulder is strong" saying the task is easy.

Despite her boast, Miku was probably scared out of her mind, which is why she went for help from the other members of the band. Depending on how you feel about Mincho, she was either saying "You can do it, I have faith in you" or "Suck it up buttercup, you signed up for this".

@marki markitup It sounds like Kanami means literally based on everyone's reaction. They are all laughing and Miku is mad. I guess a girl doesn't want to be associated with broad shoulders :p
