'...Sita Mata insisted that Hanuman too should be honored, and handed him over a necklace of precious stones. Hanuman started tearing it apart, and looked into each stone to make sure that Rama and Sita were in them, and if they were not, the necklace had no value to him. HANUMAN opened his chest and everyone was shocked to see Rama and Sita there, literally present in the center of everything.
Everybody shouted JAI HANUMAN, what a wonder!...'

As Hanuman showed, monetary value of an item isn't always important compared to love, faith, and devotion.
