Happy Birthday Mike Porcaro (late former bassist of Toto)! If he was here today, he would've turned 63.
I'll Be Over You (1986) (from the album, "Fahrenheit") (originally performed by Toto) covered by Asif Hasan Tomu.
Michael Joseph "Mike" Porcaro (May 29, 1955 – March 15, 2015) was an American bass player known for his work with Toto. He retired from touring in 2007 as a result of being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
He was the middle brother of Toto members Jeff Porcaro and Steve Porcaro. Their father is jazz drummer-percussionist Joe Porcaro.
"I'll Be Over You" is a hit single by the American rock band Toto. Released as the lead single from their 1986 album, Fahrenheit, the song reached number eleven on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1986, their highest charting since original vocalist Bobby Kimball left the band in 1984. Lead vocals were sung by guitarist Steve Lukather with Michael McDonald providing the vocal counterpoint on the recording.
A music video (in which guest vocalist McDonald also appears) was shot with the band playing on an apartment rooftop until it rained. The rooftop is on top of the building located at 548 South Spring Street in Los Angeles, California, USA.
In addition, it spent two weeks at number one on the adult contemporary chart, Toto's second song to top this chart (following 1983's "I Won't Hold You Back").
Thanks for watching and listening as a tribute for my late Father (who we lost a year ago) for some memories of the song back in the 80s! I miss you Bapi!
