Description
Life in a Northern Town was the debut single of British band @TheDreamAcademy and was released in 1985. When I saw Terry David Mulligan (host of the 80s CBC TV show "Good Rockin Tonight") throw to this moody black and white video I was transfixed. The song was brooding and powerful and I could feel the weight in the lyrics. The very idea of a song being about "life in a northern town" speaks to the Canadian heart. We're all kind of from a northern town up here.
