Henry Hall with Val Rosing taking the vocals made the first recording that year.
Henry Hall's recording was of especially good quality with a large tonal range. It was used for more than 30 years by BBC audio engineers (up until the early 1960s) to test and calibrate the frequency response of audio equipment.
This is the 1942 reissue the original 1932 recording, the 1932 label was credited to The BBC Dance Orchestra directed by Henry Hall.
